Churchill’s Adam Lock Lodge has been welcoming its new Residents. Those who have just moved to the Wells development, are now part of a new safe and friendly community of over 60s, living life independently and to the full in their new homes.
One of the first to move in, Lavinia Green, has settled in quickly and attributes her move’s success to the Churchill team. She said: “The whole moving experience with Churchill has been the easiest I have ever experienced, all done and dusted in eight weeks.”
Lavinia has been impressed with just how much is on offer when you choose the lifestyle that Churchill can provide, calling it a ‘no brainer’ and wishing that she had moved sooner.
“To anyone else considering a move,” she said, “do not wait. Come and see the welcoming Churchill team and ask them to show you around the site. They are great, and will do all they can to help.”
Sally Brenchley, another early resident at Adam Lock Lodge echoes the sentiment around the team. She said, “The Churchill team bent over backwards to help and advise me through the move in a pleasant and calming manner.”
The move has also proven to be a lifeline in a difficult period of time for Sally.
“I’d been looking vaguely at a move for some time when my husband was alive, and since losing him last winter I decided to pursue the idea properly. Adam Lock Lodge is near to all of my close family, who spent much time travelling down to Cornwall to help my husband and I through illness and hospital visits last year. Now I’m closer to all of them, including my brother who also has close ties to Churchill.”
She added, “My family tell me it’s good to see me so relaxed after a rather difficult time over the last year. I feel I have adapted quickly to a different way of life and am now looking forward to the future. The move was very much the correct thing to do.”
She is also really happy with her new Churchill lifestyle, explaining:
“I like virtually everything about my new apartment and lifestyle! I feel safe and secure and I’ve no more worries about maintenance or general repairs to my home. The apartment has everything I need and plenty of storage for the essentials in life.”
“My expectations have been surpassed and after living in rural Cornwall since 1997, here I have the doctor next door, a supermarket four minutes’ walk away and plenty of shops right on my doorstep. The Lodge feels welcoming but respects your privacy and independence, it’s quiet and peaceful yet close to the city centre too. I know without any doubt that I’ve made the right decision and my friends from Cornwall are queuing up to visit me!”
Adam Lock Lodge is a development of 47 one and two bedroom retirement apartments, centrally located in the historic city of Wells, England’s smallest city. Glastonbury, Bath, and Wells's market square give plenty of scope for history, shopping, and wider days out in beautiful surroundings – plus all the amenities needed just a stone throw away from residents’ homes.
