Churchill is abolishing exit fees!

At Churchill Living, we are pleased to announce that Owners will no longer pay exit fees when selling or subletting their apartments.

These charges have been completely removed, making the process far more straightforward and hassle-free. Whilst many retirement housing providers still apply fees, we are setting a new standard by abolishing them entirely.

Spencer McCarthy, Churchill’s Chairman and CEO, emphasises his commitment to ensuring the best possible experience for our Owners. By removing these charges, we are helping to provide greater peace of mind and making life simpler both for Owners and their families.

Spencer McCarthy says:
“Our Customers and their families want simplicity and transparency when it comes to paying for their housing needs in later life. They don’t want hidden fees or restrictive terms that materialise further down the line.

“By abolishing all exit fees we are making the Churchill proposition as simple as it can be – if you would like to live in one of our award winning developments with the security features, companionship and support that’s provided - you simply pay for the property you live in and the costs of the services in place – no more, no less.”

We already offer some of the lowest service charges in the retirement sector which is why many of our Owners are pleasantly surprised to find that the service charges work out lower than what they were paying, in comparable costs, on their previous home.

And it’s not just exit fees that we’ve abolished. We’ve also gone further to ease the cost of retirement living by giving our Owners the option to defer service charges for up to a year if their property is unoccupied and on the market with our Churchill Sales & Lettings agency.
